About Elise Hartin Psychotherapy & Consulting
Elise Hartin Psychotherapy & Consulting is a welcoming practice offering counselling for individuals, couples, and counsellors across British Columbia. Rooted in compassion and collaboration, Elise provides a safe, non-pathologizing space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen their relationships, and move toward lasting change with greater clarity and confidence. To make care more accessible, she offers direct billing for many insurance plans.
Elise’s Story
With over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health and social services, Elise became a therapist out of a deep belief that people heal best through connection, authenticity, and acceptance. Her background includes nonprofit work, trauma-informed practice, and professional registration with BCACC as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), along with CVAP and ICBC designations.
Elise founded her private practice to create a supportive, human-centred environment where people feel seen and less alone. She brings warmth, humour, and grounded guidance to the process—helping clients find relief from the weight they carry and rediscover their own resilience.
Therapeutic Approach
Elise’s work blends evidence-based approaches with genuine human connection. She draws from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to each client, emphasizing curiosity, compassion, and personal growth.
Whether you’re processing trauma, navigating a life transition, or wanting to feel more connected in your relationships, Elise meets you where you are—with warmth, humour when appropriate, and a steady presence that helps make the hard work of therapy feel safe and supported.
